Meet Glacial Marine Mud

This skin-clearing, ethnobotanical mud mask gently removes impurities, exfoliates, and softens the skin with a high amount of beneficial minerals and trace elements. Legend has it that Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest tried – and failed – to make pottery from the special mud that gives this product its name. While the fine particle size made pottery impossible, they soon noticed that their hands were softer and more hydrated after being covered in the wet clay.

Target Audience

Adults, regardless of skin type.

Why You'll Love It?

  • Features Glacial Marine Mud, a sea clay extract with more than 50 skin-beneficial minerals and trace elements obtained from a remote glacial estuary in the Pacific Northwest that absorbs impurities from the skin without robbing it of precious moisture. This skin-beneficial mud is homogenised to increase its absorption powers and provide ideal consistency. Its refined particle size allows optimal surface coverage. The 50 skin- beneficial minerals and trace elements include:
    1. Copper – helps improve skin strength, cutting down on fragility.
    2. Zinc – helps modulate oil production and aids in conditioning skin
    3. Magnesium – a necessary component of the skin’s natural energy cycle.
    4. Silver – aids the skin’s natural defences.
  • Softens and helps hydrate the skin.
  • Helps draw out impurities and toxins. The basic molecular structure of Glacial Marine Mud is negatively charged. The positively charged impurities within the skin bind to the mud’s negative charge and can then be rinsed away, leaving the skin cleansed.
  • Features a tube and a label that are proudly made from 100% responsibility sourced bioresin.

How To Use It?

Apply a generous layer of mud to the skin, avoiding mouth and eye areas. Let dry for 15 to 20 minutes or until it turns a light aquamarine colour. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use two to three times a week.

Will Epoch Glacial Marine Mud® stain fabrics?

Yes. Be careful when applying and washing off the mud. It can stain fabrics.

Is Epoch Glacial Marine Mud suitable for all skin types?

Epoch Glacial Marine Mud is ideal for anyone looking to gently remove impurities, exfoliate and soften the skin. The mask is suitable for all skin types, but if you have sensitive skin, we recommend testing on a small area of skin before applying to your full face and body.

Is the mud sustainably and responsibly sourced?

All Canadian governmental regulations are followed during the extraction of the mud. Every day, it is covered by two- to three-metre tides. When the tide goes out, the mud is mined. The upper layer is removed, and the mud is harvested from a one-metre depth to ensure consistency. All holes are then filled with rocks, and the top layer of mud is replaced. It is constantly replenished by the tides and nearby mountain springs.

Can I use Epoch Glacial Marine Mud and Epoch Yin and Yang Mask together?

Yes, we recommend it! We suggest using Epoch Glacial Marine Mud for your T-zone, as the skin in this area often has more impurities, while the skin on your cheeks usually has a greater need for detoxification and nourishment, making Epoch Yin and Yang Mask the ideal choice for this part of your face.
